Alastair Fothergill has been producing wildlife films for over thirty years. While at the BBC Natural History Unit, he was responsible for a range of projects including Blue Planet, Planet Earth and Frozen Planet. In 2012 he co-founded Silverback Films which has produced six wildlife movies for Disney, The Hunt series for BBC 1 and the Our Planet series for Netflix.

In a lavishly illustrated lecture, Alastair, one of the series producers, will tell the stories behind the making of this landmark natural history series that was presented by Sir David Attenborough. The series launch in April 2019 in 190 countries worldwide and immediately attracted a massive global audience, making it Netflix most successful documentary series.
