The 1532 Performing Arts Centre is a new venue, located in central Bristol. Opened in September 2016, the centre houses a state-of-the-art Theatre which can seat up to 320 audience members, plus a dance studio, drama studio and recital hall, all of which are available to hire.
Located just off Clifton Triangle, 1532 is part of Bristol Grammar School. As well as hosting productions and performances by Bristol Grammar School students, 1532 offers a high quality programme featuring professional local and touring companies and encompassing a wide variety of genres. Plays, family-friendly and children’s theatre performances, talks, music, dance, comedy and more can all be accommodated at the venue. There is also a spacious foyer and licensed bar serving refreshments before the show begins and during the interval.

All the events on our What's On pages are open to the public and tickets can be purchased online. If you are attending an event at 1532, there is plenty of on street parking in the surrounding areas (currently the metered spaces are free in the evening, check individual machines as charging hours vary). Alternatively, we are just a short walk from the West End (approx. 6 minutes) and Trenchard Street (approx. 8 minutes) car parks.
